Don't tell others what you are going to do, because the brain will trigger the reward system, making you feel as if you have already accomplished the task, which reduces your motivation to work towards it.

Instead, quietly replace it with actions. The brain naturally keeps pain and happiness levels in balance, which is why the saying "happiness is on the journey" holds true. When you take action to achieve your goals, happiness follows to compensate for your effort. Conversely, when you lazily lie in bed scrolling through your phone, you will feel the emptiness afterward.
